Hi, my name is Jonathan Mast with Valorous Circle. Today I want to talk to you about why we recommend WordPress, the world’s leading content management system for our clients.
Part of our philosophy as a web design firm is we believe you need to be able to manage and update your site without having to rely totally on your web developer. Obviously, as your website designer and developer, Valorous Circle is going to be there to support you and your website when needed, although Valorous Circle wants to make sure that you have the ability (as weird as it sounds) to leave us at any point in time. We don’t ever want you to feel as though we’ve got you by the neck and that you can’t leave.
Almost all of our clients, at some point in time, have either experienced or known someone who has experienced another web development firm who has held their domain name hostage, held their website hostage, or simply made it difficult in order to transition from one firm to another. Our goal at Valorous Circle is very simple, we want to make that process as easy as possible for you. We believe that by doing so you will know we are always doing our best to maintain that relationship and keep you as a client.
As a result, Valorous Circle recommends using a content management system for your website. There are a lot of benefits that a content management system brings to you, not the least of which is the fact that you have the ability to maintain, add, and edit content on your website without needing to know any programming whatsoever. We often tell our clients:
if you’re comfortable typing an email or posting a photo to social media, you can maintain your website.
Are there certain things that we may know how to do better than you? Absolutely. We’ve been doing this for years, although the majority of the things that are involved in maintaining your website can be done by you without any input from us whatsoever. We would like to show you how to do that.
