Market the Hole, Not the Drill

When you think about marketing do you naturally start thinking about the product or service you want to market? That’s normal – welcome to the club! Unfortunately it’s also not optimal for the success of your marketing campaign.
To maximize your marketing campaign success focus on the value that the product you are advertising brings to your customer. Don’t sell “the drill” of the drills features. Sell the hole that the drill will allow your customers to create.
